Strategy Consulting

Below are some examples of assignments:

Assignment 1

A large sized Nordic Energy company wanted help in selecting a new front-to-back trading system that best suited their business needs, today and tomorrow, given the clients’ unique prerequisites and ambitions. Confoma acted as project managers initially and steered and supported in selection, comparison, design and implementation of the new system. During the project the project manager raised several business issues, which initiated some smaller projects, necessary to ensure that the business aligned its processes with the new system environment to achieve more tailored and optimized workflows and processes.

Assignment 2

A large Nordic Merchant Bank was facing a dilemma around its collateral management and wanted to ensure that their system support were appropriate and sufficient to embrace future challenges in regulatory issues and business developments.
Confoma acted as project manager for this assessment study and identified a number of new business issues, which had immediate impact on the collateral management process. A number of measures were proposed combined with a recommendation.

Assignment 3

A large Nordic Energy company was facing a situation where a strategically important issue the coming fiscal year, was a vertical integration of their business. The main issue was that the internal interfaces were unclear and difficult to follow up on a performance basis.

Confoma helped the client in establishing a new methodology for measuring results, both quantitative and qualitative, as well as a proposal for a new process to ensure quality in the working processes to handle operational risks.
